Yesterday I wrote about teardrops for my birthday : https://steemit.com/teardrops/@purpledaisy57/teardrops-for-my-birthday. I was feeling down and sad because it just seemed so depressing. Adding the heat and humidity, you just feel so tired and not in the mood.
So after making my post just before lunch and posting it, I went down for lunch and watched TV for a while. Then later I went back up and opened my laptop. First I checked my account to see if I earned anything. Haha after 2 hours barely made 15 cents but then I said maybe later it will get better.
So then I checked my FB page. Was planning to play a few games. Since I did not refresh it since the morning, I clicked the reload on my wall.
When it finished downloading I saw an announcement that caught my eye! It was from the US Embassy FB page. Good thing I liked their page , at least I get notifications. They are having an outreach program for 2 days in the Visayas area, March 15 in Bacolod and March 16 in Iloilo.
I opened it, read all the info and even called the hotel. They were so helpful that even if they did not fully know what will happened, they sent me an email of the program. According to the program, they will also cater to passport renewals and applications. Ever since my daughter was pregnant I have been dreaming of going there. I had the problem of an expired passport since 2009. It is still ok because it is less than 15 years expired.
I had made post about trying to earn and save from #steemit. before my daughter gave birth, I earned 7sbd for that and thankful to 
It is an answered prayer. I tried to call the US Embassy in Manila but the recording said that they passport department is only open on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 1-3pm only. So I have to call tomorrow and I hope I won't forget.. I need to get all the info and requirements ready.
They just posted it earlier that day on their Facebook wall. I am #grateful that FB has a notification and event board so I get notifications of happenings and events of any page I am following or liked.
The possibility of being able to renew my passport here lifted my spirits. It mad me feel happy and excited. Less expense and no need to travel far. If there was no outreach program I would have to go later this month or early April to Cebu. Travel by boat overnight. It would be ok but also hassle for me. I have to bring someone with me. I would have to rely on my earnings on #steemit for my travel expenses. But now it will be lesser. Even my daughter is excited and happy. I don't want to ask from her any financial help because she just gave birth and has lot of expenses with a newborn.
So I just have to wait till tomorrow (my birthday!) to call and inquire. I already downloaded and printed the application forms to be filled. Need to get my 2x2 picture taken on Thursday before I go to the city for my other needs.
I have my forms to be filled. I printed 2 copies. Will fill up one and bring 2 black ball pens. In case I filled up something wrong I have an extra. Hmm I might print out another set. My old passport and Naturalization certificate ready. I also have my SSS card. I am glad I still kept it. Anyway I still memorize my number. This is also needed for renewal or application. It is a new requirement.
I also had some #Steemit flyers printed out in case I might be able to share with some people there. I think I will just have some more xeroxed, the colored printouts are expensive lol.
God knows the right time to give us what we need. For my birthday He gave me a present that is much needed and been praying for. I am so excited to have my passport renewed. My next goal if earning for a plane ticket even one way to California, USA! With a passport, my goals are slowly getting accomplished. Nothing is impossible now, especially with God's help.
