I came across this post, https://steemit.com/gratefulvibes/@paradise-found/community-challenge-attitude-of-gratitude, while looking through Steemit, and it made me think for a while about what I was grateful for.
I am grateful for a new day the Lord has given. Lamentations 3:22-23 declares "22 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."
I am grateful for work the Lord has given, and for blessed rest at the end of each day. Ecclesiastes 5:12 reads "The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep."
I am grateful for wisdom the Lord has given. Proverbs 2:6 proclaims "For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding."
I am grateful for protection against temptations and harm. Psalm 28:7 states "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him."
Many things I am grateful for, but above all, I am grateful to God for His salvation. Psalm 27:1 testifies "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
All Bible verses were quoted from the King James Bible (KJV).
