Hello Steemit family,
My name is Debbie, and here is a picture of my husband, myself, and my little dog Toby.

Before I begin with the things that I am grateful for in Steemit, I would like to thank Hive account@theycallmedan for creating this brilliant “Gratitude Challenge” and also Hive account@organduo, a beloved friend, who tagged me to participate in it. I am so grateful to be here!

Blessed

I was very blessed, to have joined Steemit about one and a half years ago. My dear husband Rick, had introduced me into it. I was very hesitant at first, to say the least, mainly because I knew nothing about computers. I had no idea how to post, copy, paste, or what a blog even was. Rick had been a “Steemian” for several months prior to me joining, and was doing quite well with his gifts for writing, and photographing.

Patience

After some time needling me, Rick finally talked me into it, he told me that I would love being on Steemit, because I could enter my artwork into contests, meet other artists, learn, and make a little money besides. He also said that he would take the time, and teach me how to do it. I agreed, and slowly Rick began to teach me the things I needed to know. He taught me with great patience, and I am so thankful for his generosity and kindness. My very loving and supportive brother in law, let me borrow his iPad Procreate App, to draw with, which would change my life forever.

Creative Joy

Steemit has given me that outlet to create that my own being deeply craves and needs. I am having a great time entering drawing contests on Steemit. I’m not making a whole lot of money right now on Steemit, but I really don’t care! Steemit to me is receiving a valuable education. I have received it through talking with other artists about their incredible artwork, and how they went about accomplishing it. I’ve truly learned from that. And I’ve taught myself how to digitally draw, which is better than I have ever drawn before in my lifetime, with any medium. I would have never experienced such joy, without joining Steemit.

Love

I cherish and treasure my new friends I have made here, I love chatting with them about their art and life stories, and again, I am so grateful for that. But most of all, I am incredibly thankful to have the opportunity to glorify God with the gifts he has given me, and I pray that I will be able to spread happiness, comfort, and love through it, for the rest of my life❣️
