I am grateful to God for my friend that gave birth to a baby boy. This isn't the first time a family member or friend put to bed. However, this lady's case is different. The baby is her first child. Besides, she had two miscarriages before the last pregnancy. I was so glad to see her beaming when I visited mother and child at the hospital.
You will understand my happiness better if you have witnessed the suffering women experienced when they are blamed for childlessness. It seems that in our part of the country, in-laws hide under the veil of culture to torture a woman when a marriage is childless. Even when a marriage is just a few years old, these heartless fellows won't allow the couple to have peace of mind.
In my friends case, some of the relatives pretended to pity her. Later on, they started insinuating that the lady was the cause of her predicament. However, they were put to shame. Though the night may be full of tears, joy comes in the morning. The bundle of joy brought happiness to the family. Surely their creator never dozes or sleeps.
