1852: Greek historian and writer, Dimitrios Kambouroglou is born. Kambouroglou goes on to become a founding member of the Historical and Ethnological Society of Greece.
1914: The Greek Army recaptured Northern Epirus.
1990: Municipal elections are held across Greece. Antonis Tritsis (founding member of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement) become mayor of Athens. In Thessaloniki, Konstantinos Kosmopoulos is elected mayor.
