Yesterday I had the pleasure to attend my 1st event from the Greek Steemit Community and the Greek-Trail
I admit I were nervous at start, going there not knowing anybody in person. Got there a bit late so I missed the introduction, but was pleasantly surprised from how many people were there and how welcome I felt!
The 1st nice surprise were the signs guiding towards the place (pics below). Well prepared guys, wouldn't find it otherwise!
The key points I noticed:
- So many people came up! I counted 35+ individuals (expected to find 10-15 haha)
- The diversity! Saw people from all ages, backgrounds, interests and hobbies
- The vibe! Such a great atmosphere! Everyone was friendly and open to meet new people!
- The place!
and his brother (sorry man, forgot your name) were great hosts! Devoted their amazing space, and made us all feel welcome.
- The sweets and the drinks! Like any Greek party it was stacked with offerings: vasilopita, chocolates, steemit cookies, champagnes, wine, coffee, you name it!
- The list! I loved the initiative to write down all participant names and then hand it out to everyone to connect.
I had the pleasure to talk with most of the people and really got to know them. As for everyone that I didn't get the chance to chat with, we will definitely talk in the next meetup!
I had a great time guys! Can't wait for the next Steemit Greece event. Keep it up and next years' Vasilopita will be 10x bigger!
