What a nice change of scenery here in Bangkok as a green / eco-friendly kindergarten pops up. IPC Green focuses on living in harmony with mother nature and uses the British Curriculum.
Below are my own photos:
- We took an abandoned plot of land and cleaned and regenerated it.
- We actively preserved the existing trees on site, and even constructed our new Art room around the lands oldest and largest tree to allow it to continue to grow naturally.
- We incorporated 20 no. disused shipping containers and up-cycled them into the permanent structures.
- We have created a number of vertical gardens, thus increasing the natural footprint of available garden space, which obviously helps to take out CO2 from the air and replenish with O2.
- We are generating our own energy by way of PV Solar Technology to run our new school.
- We have, thanks to our friends at the ‘Asian Institute of Technology’, used newly invented (solar powered) septic tanks, that remove all harmful bacteria from our waste water, before it goes to outlet.
- We have used, thanks to our friends at ‘Power Vault’ the latest LED technology to generate natural light whilst using less energy.
- We are in discussions, to have a newly invented technology installed that will increase the efficiency of our Air Conditioning by up to 60%.
- We have constructed an onsite organic farm and vertical farm, so the children can grow and eat completely organic food, whilst being educated on the importance of doing so.
