Last week some modification/updating in the contest has been going on, as I would like to transform this weekly appointment from a contest with winners into a gathering corner.
Starting from next week, there will be no more winners, only Greenest Thumbs invited to meet regularly, telling their stories and equally sharing the post payout.
I'm happy that two people joined last week, even if I created some confusion by posting three times the same post by mistake! Sorry guys!
If fresh turmeric does not come to British Columbia...(Canada)
Finding fresh turmeric in Canada to prepare Indonesian dishes can often be an issue. But when you are a Green Thumb, like , you eventually end up growing it by yourself with stunning results. If you – just like me – has never seen turmeric but in powder, you’ll be amazed seeing how you can grow the rhizome, dry it and magically turn into powder.
Healing mint in water containers (Philippines)
Meanwhile, on the other side of the Pacific Ocean, and in a different emisphere, a rooftop in the Philippines is being transformed into a vegetables bed. That's because is extremely passionate about mint and its healing properties and recycled water containers to host a collection of mint plants. Gardening can provide so many satisfactions, when you believe so much in what you are growing!
In witness of your love for gardening, it is now my pleasure to proclaim that this week's GREENEST THUMBS are...
As only two persons participated, and there were two available prizes, everyone has been awarded!
I enjoyed both of the entries. 's post is completely original, funny and instructive.
's post is not completely original as a part is copy and pasted from the internet. As the author credited the source and has just landed on Steemit, it will not be excluded from sharing the prize. We are happy that this contest helped you getting started on Steemit.
Last week the (three) contest post(s) generated 1.543 SBD in total payout. I sent half to both the GREENEST THUMBS.
