Green Lantern Corps screenwriter David Goyer confirmed that the film is “still in the works” at the studio.
“I don’t know. Who knows, especially with what’s currently going on with the DC universe? There’s obviously a whole recalibration happening with that right now.”
Goyer has been working on the screenplay with Justin Rhodes (Contract Killers), and it's been confirmed that Lantern character John Stewart will make his feature film debut in the project. The story for Green Lantern Corps has been described as a buddy cop movie with Stewart and Hal Jordan
The next big release for DC Films will be Aquaman on December 21, 2018 with Shazam and Wonder Woman 2 to follow in 2019. Green Lantern Corps was previously set for a 2020 release date.
