After the first 3D print of the gridcoin I noticed the bottom of the cut out part had some 'stripes' in it. At first I didn't spend too much attention to it but over the weekend I started wondering how this was possible. The printer software decides on certain parameters which path it will follow to print and this can be looked at and influenced.
I took some time to look at how the software builds up the print and found an error. Somehow I tilted the cut out part.
The software allows to go through the layers. Viewing the slices the printer prints and then I saw this:

See how it slowly building a sloped bottom.
I completely redrew the thing from scratch and ended up with this:
Next print should look better without the stripes.
