Elderberry!

Crazy how that paragraph of yours corresponds so well with what I wrote about the elderberry shrub last year.

Just grow limes, olives and corn. Even tomatos. Maybe corriander and basil and things. Or buy it all dirt cheap locally. Sounds like a dream to me.

I LOVE rhubarb

It's very easy to cultivate and propagate here. Especially this red variety, which tastes a bit like strawberry.

Garlic

Mine does not like mulch, nor chicken poop, nor weeds around it.
It wants sun, space and at least moist soil.
It's also a heavy feeder.

I love that it is not affected by the voles at all.

Wild garlic is different and grows abundantly in the forrests all around here.
