About 2 months into this grow and this morning I finished up transplanting. It feels good to finally have them in their final resting place. When in these little cups they can be very sensitive to heat and cold and get dehydrated very fast.
*before
*after
They seem to have adapted well already.
In any future grows, I think it is overall easier on the plants and myself just seeding them directly into the location. The only need for using the cups as seed starters would be if I were starting really early in the season to bring them indoors at night to protect from cold. I started a little later so going through transplanting was totally not necessary.
The runts haven't grown much in a month and have been retired. RIP
Plenty of wood chips to shield the roots from high temp sun
The strain is Afghan.
Doing well in full sun midday at 100+ temps.
This strain is unknown but is noticeably different from the afghan strain. These leaves are wider and shorter.
Just a few more shots...
To start there was 12 seeds, 10 afghan, 2 unknown.
9 of the afghan seeds sprouted with two being runts.
The 2 unknown seeds sprouted as well. so currently there is 9 plants from 12 seeds.
Next is some cages for support.
and hopefully in a week or so they will start to show their sex.
Till next time. Be Green!
