As many of you know, I'm passionate about my "20 questions" interview series as a form of influencer marketing; however, lately I've been thinking of unique and impactful ways to convince people in my life (or people I meet) to start a Steemit blog.
I have tried to encourage many people (even my own girlfriend) to join, and usually the conversation goes something like this:
Other person: "Man, that Steemit thing you've been talking about sounds pretty cool."
Me: "It is. You should totally join."
Other person: "Yeah, one of these days."
And, from what I've seen so far, that day never comes.
The Idea
Perhaps people are hesitant to join Steemit because they're not sure where to start. Or maybe they're not sure what to write about. Or, they might even think it's too difficult.
Whatever the hang-up, I'd like to think people will be more enticed to create an account if they have a vested interest to join.
So, I have an idea...
meetSteem will be my way of introducing friends, family members, colleagues, acquaintances and even strangers to Steemit. Each post will include a photo, as well as the individual's story, told in first-person. The style will be kind of like "Humans of New York."
Where does the marketing/growth come in?
The meetSteem concept is that I will send 50% of the liquid rewards to the person who I interview, if they agree to set up a Steemit account.
Currently, Steemit is offering $1 of Steem Power to new users. Depending on how much money these posts bring in, this could be a much more significant incentive for individuals to join and, eventually, become fully-engaged Steemians.
Does this mean an end to the "20 questions" interview series?
Of course not!
Many more of those to come, my friends.
I'd appreciate any feedback, constructive criticism or support you'd like to send my way regarding meetSteem.
Thanks everyone :)
