I haven't done one of these for a few months and I find account growth interesting. I enjoy looking back and seeing the road you traveled. Knowing what you are doing and how you are growing is what I think we should all be aware of. I have kept certain land marks in my head so I never forget.
For those of you who know me, I was a slow starter as this was all new to me and a little overwhelming. I was out my comfort zone just being on here, nothing made sense. I took the time though to get to know people by commenting and engaging with others.
The new users moan and complain that they are handicapped by Resource Credits and can't do that much. For one I disagree as when I joined I wasn't limited ,but there was no easy options of getting votes. Today you have the Steem platform which was the same for me ,but you also have an array of Dapps. These Dapps are a lifeline for a new account and used properly will help you grow. This in my mind does make it easier and the smart ones have taken advantage of this.
It took me 60 days to payback the 15 SP that came with the signing up process. That is a slog and a grind in anyone's book. The next 60 days were more fruitful and took me to a grand total of 120 SP. Things were starting to tick over and the next 60 days I grew by 800 SP giving me a total of 920.
I haven't stuck to my 60 day markers as I have been too busy, but it is day 290 and I will be over the 2030 SP mark today which averages at 7 SP per day for my Steem career. My target of 5000 SP for the first year is still on track and is doable if the price remains low.
What I will say to new users is that everyone who joined Steem struggled at the beginning ,and a high percentage had posts with no rewards after 7 days. It is all about persevering and staying focused. Take the time to comment on posts and you will succeed eventually.
Happy Steeming and Power up.
