Would you like to know my guilty pleasures?

Here we go! I decided to submit a last minute entry to Hive account@blewitt’s #guiltypleasures contest.

Reality TV shows

From cooking to home renovations and all the odd things in between. What can I say? I’m into it. I don’t exactly understand why I enjoy reality TV but I know that it drives Hive account@kommienezuspadt nuts. I justify my actions by telling him that I like watching these shows when I’m trying to take it easy. It’s nice to shut my brain down, open an app and have something easy to watch. Sometimes I just like having white noise playing in the background when I’m keeping myself busy. I blame Netflix for enabling this bad habit of mine. As much as he complains, so far I’ve gotten him into one series and that’s The Great British Baking Show. We laugh every time Mary Berry says the word ‘crisp’. Other shows that I’ve watched on Netflix are Nailed It, Mega Food, Sugar Rush, The Final Table, Hyori’s Bed and Breakfast, Men on a Mission, Chef & My Fridge and the list goes on. Some I have regretted and others not so much.

Horror Manga and Anime

I’m a wuss when it comes to haunted houses, mazes and movies. Anime, comic books, webtoon and manga are things I can do. I guess I’ve always been into super creepy things but I didn’t embrace it until I was gifted Uzumaki. I became drawn to Junji Ito’s drawing style and it’s inspired so much of my work today. His inking is amazing and he’s a genius when it comes to the terrifying page turn. Besides Uzumaki I own Gyo and Shiver, which is a collection of short stories.

I love love love watching YouTube videos of k-pop news, lifestyle vlogs, cooking ASMR and drag queens ranting while doing their make-up. Yes, spill that tea and show me how extra you are! I am ALL ABOUT IT. Vogue has a series titled Beauty Secrets and I’ve been breezing through that lately.

Nerd games

If you’ve followed my blog long enough then you’ll know that I love playing Magic: The Gathering. If I had the time then I could spend hours sorting and organizing my cards. I’m dreaming about the day when I can find a giant, library style, card catalog to organize them in. Lately I’ve also become obsessed with the board game Mansions of Madness. It started when I was in Chicago, playing late into the night with friends. When I return home I begged Hive account@kommienezuspadt to get it for me as an early Christmas present. I got it, I love it and I’m obsessed with idea of playing it whenever I get the chance. I’m hoping to get the expansion soon!
