Hello, and welcome to my Dtube channel, eh!
I finally started the process of working on this old Ampeg guitar amp. I've had this amp at the house for several months now, but I was busy with other things and just had not gotten to it until now. I had to pull the chassis out to inspect it and see what kind of parts I would need to order to start on the rebuild. After looking at the amp, it was pretty obvious that I would need to replace the power supply capacitors, just to start with. I won't know if there's anything else that needs work until I can turn the amp on and have the power supply working properly. Bad power supply capacitors are the most common problem with old tube type guitar amplifiers that aren't working properly or have a lot of noise and buzz when they're on.
This amp is a late 1960s Ampeg Gemini 1 amplifier, probably about 1968 or 9. This is the G-12 chassis in the amp.
Thanks for stopping by my channel and checking out my video!
