So, I did Instagram for about 3 years and got the blue tick verification (with a passport they later oddly said wasnt me?) Then left for Youtube as could go live there. But like the page 'Social Media Censorship' on my webpage on my bio, I left there too, so 3K followers on IG I abandoned, 1800 still there, then 460 subs on youtube, still there but dont use it anymore due to the censorship which if you saw the page on my website youd be shocked and understand why I left. So bought my own webpage and now, yeah 21 a month, non profit, I pay so others can hear my journey with music, they let me write what I want but also censor by continually about ten times now making my page http. When its wordpress premium where all sites are https 'as default' - 'by standard' and us the users cannot change that, only wordpress can and they keep making my page http, i confront them and they change it and then the next week its been made http again, where people using brave or vanadium browser get the 'this page is unsafe' warning, which it is but only it your sharing bank details. But still, no other wordpress premium users are complaining about this. So, web3 is hopefully the answer to all my problems where I dont want to be treated better than anyone, or worse, just the same and also not censored for no reason at all. Ive never created videos for any other reason than to fit in with the music community and having youtube and instagram would encourage you to learn more, practice more. On instagram I was meant to be getting paid but a paypal i set up was hacked, i didnt care, I wasnt doing it for money, had converse wanting to pay me if id always wear my black converse in my covers. Just felt great being involved and part of humanity. Censorship is a really evil thing (unless for criminal reasons or hate) and leads to something called 'Social Isolation' which is very different to lonliness, definitions on wikipedia. Really crushes your mental health. Instagram gave me a 280 day live ban - and no reason as to why, no reason at all why, just that I had it. Which was why I went to youtube as I could go live there, I lived the community guidelines so the censorship for comments like 'I didnt know you were on youtube, il need to find you' being removed as spam was confusing. Anyway thats my introduction/essay as to whats brought me to web3, grateful it exists and need to start learning how it all works! I hope its what I think it is, as I was looking at censorship resistant web hosting, Julian Assange and Edward Snowden use it for revealing war crimes/mass surveillance, I want it to do a fun music blog 🙄
