Has anybody else been looking for interesting guitars, and stumbled upon one of these?
It's a Dean "V", designed similar to the Gibson or Epiphone "Flying V." (If you didn't already know.)
If you listen to, or have listened to the band Pantera, you might recognize these guitars. The guitarist of the band was nicknamed "Dimebag Darrell" Who played his signature Dean Dimebag guitar which he won in a local guitar contest. A lot of this manufacturer's guitars are held in high respect for being metal-making machines, packed with high-output humbucking pickups, and with a very metal aesthetic. Most of their guitars are high-dollar American-manufactured instruments, but they also seem to have a line of much cheaper, budget guitars, which always seem to find their way into my recommended lists on many websites. Oddly enough, about these budget guitars: I've heard so many mixed things about them. Some say that you get a lot of bang for the buck, and that they're top-tier guitars, minus the price tag, but others say that you'd just be better off getting a Squier Strat or Epiphone Les Paul, and I don't know anybody who's played or owned one. So, moving to the main point: What are your experiences with Dean guitars? Are the American ones worth the money? Are the budget models hidden gems? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
