Gum is a very strange and unique candy in the world of various candies as it is something filled with sugar and made like candy but we are told to never ever swallow it so it is just a chewing item..... there are really no other things like it, and if there are we just call them gum, so it stands apart in the world of sweets. There is something very satisfying about chewing it, it releases all kinds of feel good chemicals for us and also a bit of energy as the sugars are absorbed despite the lack of actual swallowing.
