Hey guys, I hope everyone is doing well today! Weather today in North Kakalaki was damn near perfect so I made a point to get outside and sling some lead down range.
Today I decided to shoot my Savage .17 HMR semi-automatic rifle. Believe me when I tell ya that this is a ridiculously accurate rifle. I had the rifle zeroed in at 100 yards and could put a group within a dime. Today I wanted to push the envelope just a lil bit. I wanted to see if I could hit a push-pin at 50 yards. The head of the pin is about half the size of a dime and to be honest, I wasn't very optimistic about hitting even one.
To my surprise, I hit 5 pins out of 10 shots. The first few shots were basically wasted because I couldn't tell how close I was so I looked through this Nikon spotters scope to see how close I was, I was really close.
I was really excited that I could hit these lil dudes consistently. Here's a picture of a tack that was wounded by shrapnel from the tack beside it.
I was using a Leupold optic and CCI A17 ammunition.
Thanks for taking a look guys, I hope y'all have a great day!
