Ranchorelaxo
Straight talk. It seems Hive gave us the opportunity to rid ourselves of some ongoing menaces that were on Steem, but we appear to have missed the opportunity. I understand that Hive, as much as possible, tried to be fair, but certain individuals were excluded from Hive based on past behaviour right? If anyone was the epitome of bad faith back on Steem, it was @Haejin and his @Ranchorelaxo account.
I've watched with dismay how the Ranchorelaxo account has become a menace on Hive as well. I thought we left that behaviour back over there on Steem, but apparently not. I've seen some amazing posts being indiscriminately downvoted at 100% by Haejin's whale account Ranchorelaxo for no apparent reason. Most of the time these votes were countered by - probably using a bot to follow Ranchorelaxo around.
What kind of platform do we want to be if this behaviour is still going on? By the way, "Haejin" is supposed to be a grown up who runs a consultancy business. Hilariously enough, his business is based on advising people about cryptocurrency. What person in their mind would take advice from this overgrown baby?
I got hit today by Ranchorelaxo. Now, I don't actually care that he downvoted me. I was one of his victims whom he downvoted for months on a daily bases, and at 100%, back on Steem. I believed in the platform and soldiered on nevertheless. Like I said back then, I create content constantly anyway, whether or not I post on here. I have great hopes for Hive, but I think it's past time we grew up.
Downvotes are a functional part of the system. Malice isn't.
Anyway, that's all I'm saying on that. Things have changed now, and this isn't Steem. I'm not here to waste my time supporting a platform if we can't get serious. I'm not going to dedicate time and effort just so some sociopath can play his power games. If this issue persists, best believe, I'd just pack my stuff and leave. I have much better things to be doing with my time.
Peace & Love,
Adé
