Hidden Zen

hidden zen
My son and I went for a walk in the woods of Stanley Park. Most visitors don't realize that the best parts are hidden inside its forest. Massive second growth trees, abundant and often edible berries, nurse logs, and the gloriously beautiful Beaver Lake. Not to mention lots of wildlife but nothing that will eat you. Bonus.
I don't like the chances of any fish in the vicinity of this Blue Heron though. Talk about a master fisherman and a gobble guts. He sure picked an ideal spot to throw out his metaphorical line.
Beaver lake is one of the most beautiful natural spots in the world, especially when the water lily and lotus and shore irises are in bloom. Alas the camera never quite does it justice, There is so much splendour going on that photos tend to come out a mix between a Monet and Pollack. Great for the canvas maybe not so much for pixels.
