Trick-or-Treat..... Most of us grew up dragging bags of candy through neighborhoods and yelling " trick-or-treat" at the top of our lungs. Then we would spread out our hoard at home, usually with Mom or Dad sifting through the candy to make sure it was safe and .......... for Dad to grab the good ones, because HE KNEW that certain candy was poisonous and Dad would protect his kids! :)
Nowadays things have become more high-tech with electronic witches and werewolf's at close to $100.00 for these scary creatures. The price we pay to be scared........
I also remember growing up in the innocent times when you new your neighbor and if the candy didn't come factory wrapped it was still OK........... with the exception of that stuff that lady down the street made YUK! :)
So nowadays there are a lot of parents that are trying new Halloween parties, Trunk and treat, and up here in the Northwest they have corn maze's where you go in and sometimes never come out.......
I still miss the days when you got paid in candy to scare your neighbors, sometimes this was one of the few and far in between times that you actually got to see these neighbors.
