We spent the New Year's Eve together (my brother, our father and me) in Budapest, in Hungary. We ate Vienna sausage with mustard near midnight (around 2022.12.31, 23:01 CET). This is a traditional New Year's Eve food in my country (in Hungary).
We drank a Burg dry white champagne at midnight. Usually we drink a Törley champagne at New Year's Eve. This time was different.
Of course we drank other drinks too before midnight. For example beer, wine, pálinka, liqueur, cola, syrup. And we ate other foods too. For example meat with garlic. Stew with beetroot. And desserts too (both sweet and salty too). And we will eat other foods too in the night.
We listened and we still listening to the radio. To the Retro Rádio. This is not just/only the name of the radio station we are listening to, but the radio receiver too. My father has a Nordmende citycorder 1074 multiband vintage radio receiver from around the 1970s.
This radio receiver has long wave, medium wave, shortwave, and ultra-shortwave bands. The Retró Rádió in Budapest is on the ultra-shortwave band (on 103.30 MHz), and it plays music from the 1960s, from the 1970s, from the 1980s and from the 1990s.
Probably the collectors and the radio enthusiasts know this brand. I have not heard about the Nordmende brand so far.
