I dont know why but there is something very nostalgic for me when I have fruit shaped hard candy, and I am immediately taken back to my child hood and the candies I would enjoy then. I would often find these various hard candies in strange places like on countertops of restaurants on the way out, or in convenience stores or doctors office, and even at my grand mothers home. I always thought of them as a sort of rare candy because I did not find them just for sale in stores, they were always given away as gifts for us to enjoy. There is something about those strawberry candy filled with sugary fruit flavored juice.
