"The recovery effort, is the hardest part...There are 100's of volunteers from all over the country on the ground giving their time, money, and effort away from their families, and away from their jobs. Some are only able to give two or three days, others are committed to staying until the need is gone. These heroes are helping people that they don't even know; not their neighbors or anyone in their family. They are here because they've gone through disasters like this before, and know what it feels like to lose everything in the blink of an eye, and have to completely start over."
