Aradale Mental Hospital
Aradale Mental Hospital was an Australian mental emergency clinic, situated in Ararat, a country city in south-west Victoria, Australia. Initially known as Ararat Lunatic Asylum, Aradale and its two sister shelters at Kew and Beechworth were dispatched to suit the developing number of 'crazy people' in the settlement of Victoria.
Aradale was Australia's biggest relinquished mental office. Over the 130 years the office was operational, they played out the absolute most questionable mental medicines found in Australia. 13,000 patients passed on through the span of the emergency clinic's history.
