Living on Big Island, I always forget that I reside on TOP of the most active volcano on the world, Kilauea.
Recently in the past week, Kilauea has been quite active from the top of the volcano.
Halemaumau Crater, the main caldera has been SUPER active. The lava lake levels have basically risen or over-risen above the basin level.
Best time to see if in the evening/night to really experience the glow and overall volcano affect.
I wish I had a better camera, but from my iPhone, these are the shots I got at night:
We shall see where volcano goddess Pele, wants to erupt next?
I see this caldera activity for her to erupt with the next surface flow.
