In the below shown Health-Care Efficiency Index from Bloomberg the Russian health-care system consider as one of the least efficient in the world among the 55 countries of the world in the Health-Care Efficiency Index.
The other countries like Brazil,Azerbaijan,Colombia and Jordan rounded out the bottom five.And the USA not far behind, It's scoring 50th in the ranking of this competition.
The index evaluates data for countries with GDPs per capita of at least $5,000, and population life expectancy over 70 years, with a weight assigned to each measure,and countries with populations of 5 million people or more, Life expectancy is weighted heaviest at 60% of the total score.
In health-care efficiency life expectancy is one of the best indicators. Shifts in the results of the Index depend largely on the growth in the health expenditures by countries. Because the governments have a leading role in regulating and providing healthcare to its people and its intervention has a much stronger influence on the index results.
