If you're an American or European, you can't believe how cheap it is to eat healthy here where I am.
Hey Steemians!
There's really no excuse to not keep a healthy lifestyle if you're living in a developing country. Especially when you live in a small town like I do where many people are still making money off the land farming and caring for orchards. In case you don't know I live in the beautiful island of Borneo in the state of Sarawak.
Just go to any farmers market (not supermarket or stores mind you). And you can get a couple healthy bunch of bananas like I did.
Remember one protip, black patches on a banana means GOOD. You do not want smooth yellow bananas with perfect unblemished skin. It's not natural, God knows what chemicals have been put in to keep the banana that way.
And do you know how much it cost for the 2 beautiful bunch of bananas? In our local Malaysian currency it's 2 Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). plug that into Google and guess what.
That's how much my breakfast for the next 2 days will cost. It's nutritional, packed with energy, and you get cheap detox out of it. Especially useful seeing that it's Fasting Month around these parts.
Which reminds me of something said by entrepreneur Bobby Casey in the James Altucher Show.
“Americans don’t understand how insanely expensive it is to live in the U.S.,”
With Steem and the Internet, geological boundaries has lost much of its grip and restrictions because it's easier and easier to be a global citizen. Make first-world salary, spend third-world money. I have the (Mis)fortune to have the latter, now all I have to focus on is to achieve the former.
If you are already making money unbounded by locality, why not consider moving to a cheaper country! I can already think of our very own and
who will not only agree to what I mean, but are also living examples who will tell you the same thing!
I'm
