Hello my Steemians! I would like to tell you all about one of my favorite skin care products: H2O+ Aquadefense Refining Matcha Detox Mask. During this, I well also be sharing pictures of my mask removal.
This mask is really awesome. You may be wondering, well what's all this matcha business about? And, how's it any different than other green tea products?
Matcha Green tea plants are grown differently in that the tea bushes are covered (from direct sunlight) for about 20–30 days before harvest.
This increased amount of shade causes an increase in chlorophyll levels. Subsequently, the leaves become a darker shade of green and increased production of amino acids is present.
This creates "matcha", which is a bright green powder created by grinding the leaves after harvesting.
The chlorophyll is important. It is a powerful detoxifier (helps get rid of harmful environmental toxins) and has the ability to remove those harmful toxins from our skin. It also fights free radicals that cause damage to otherwise protective skin cells. Matcha helps with excessive production of serum which helps prevent acne outbreaks.
In mask form, the product I use is quite beneficial to the facial skin. It peels off gently whilst removing impurities and leaves your skin feeling soft and refreshed.
The product I use also contains as key ingredients: rice bran extract (which contains Vitamin E, minerals, and fatty acids) and marine exopolysaccharide (which helps minimize appearance of pores and soften skin.)
You can read more about the specifics of the product here that I use here:

Don't let the sticker price get to you. At the rate of using this ONCE or TWICE a week, and the relatively small amount you need, this small bottle lasted me about six months.
I'm sure there are other less expensive matcha facial products out there. H2O+ is pretty good with sending samples if you just want to try it first. Here is me right after mask removal feeling real good!
The mask basically peels off in one piece. It even looks kinda pretty and shiny off the skin:
I used to get a lot of combination (excessive oil production and dryness) in my cheeks. After using this mask for 6 months, I no longer have that problem.
Furthermore, there is a lot of research out there supporting the ingestion of Matcha over "regular Green tea" touting increased levels of antioxidants. It also has a slightly higher caffeine content as well which combined with it's other healthful benefits some claim it aids in weight loss.
Well my Steemians, I suggest you give this mask a try. Or maybe the tea itself if you are interested. I haven't tried the tea. If you've any experience with matcha I would be interested in hearing about it!
Have a great day/ night depending on your locale, and, as always, full STEEM ahead!
