Eating-wise it would be better for me not to take my Parathyroid medicine so that I could have a much normal and better appetite for food so that I could eat ore and regain my lost weight or at least add some to my drained-out body which is really one of my health goals if not the appetite-disrupting side-effect of that medicine which I truly lament about. But I do need my medicine and it is not recommended to stop it so I am taking it twice a day.
I also combat my medicine-induced anorexia by taking some appetite enhancer in a form of a syrup in a bottle. It is kind of "for kids" because maybe my doctor is thinking that I may have a hard time taking some tablets. With this kind of nutritional support I can tolerate eating and at least finish my food.
But I noticed that I cannot really eat that much unlike before where I gain so much water weight because of my good appetite when dialysis comes so they don't take it all away and in turn makes me leave the dialysis with extra weight in my system. It leaves me breathless and quite gives me a dilemma of eating too much because along with eating is drinking fluids after.
Fortunately now I could eat with the help of an appetite enhancer and is planning to ty the tablet form which have some vitamin B complex as well which is good for digesting carbohydrates and turning it into energy. I would also try some energy drink that will help me gain some energy whilst hooked on dialysis so that my blood pressure won't go down into dangerous levels.
That might be the key that I am looking for to help me finish dialysis with full time and the dialysis machine running fast with its blood pump so I am excited in a way for that little discovery. It is because caffeine in these energy drinks causes the blood pressure in my case to stabilize so I think it might work for my blood pressure problem during dialysis.
