These are the relatively cold days in my country like in most countries but we don't get snow in here only chilly weather in the evening and lower than average humidity which in my situation is not good because the imbalances in my body makes my skin more drier and the low humidity from these current days aren't helping.
My skin gets itchy when the weather is cold and dry but right now my lower legs are getting the treatment because they looked like some dried-up rice field and the more I caress them the more they would itch.
My temporary solution when I could not get my mother to get me some hot water in a plastic to serve as my hot compress was I would get two pieces of tissue paper, wet it with my rubbing alcohol which is ethyl-based and I would just rub it on my legs. It would relieve the itch for a while provided that I will not disturb my skin.
A more longer solution was what I said earlier, the hot water (very hot) in the plastic bag is inserted in a thin cotton cloth and then will serve as a hot compress to be applied into itchy parts. I will have to wait for it to get so itchy and then painful and then I would immediately take it off to be applied elsewhere again.
It is a better solution than scratching which is not a very good idea as it would cause skin infections but my hot compress technique works very well and I do it all the time.
During the dry season like these I do get the itchy skin problem but in hot weathers my problem is an icky skin so even in weathers I do not have any rest and I just try again to manage them all just for me to get some comfort.
