It is hard in these times where the winds are now shifted and are now swinging the smells from the chicken feed factory and into our town where the town of origin is not even from our town but from the town next to us where those factories are abound.
The smells is comparable to dried fish and it really stinks as it makes a lot of our life including mine very hard. I guess no one has the nerve to complain about it since those factories are from multi-national corporations if not too big to be reckoned with because it is a source of revenue of the province and a job source for many as well. So banging it with protest will just fall on deaf ears.
Now sometimes the smell of a rotting paper pulp is just fumigating our place and it smells like an old fart as if you would also be making gasses from your guts after smelling it. But the origin of that smell was from our town and my brother and my sister-in-law works in it so complaining about it also would fall to deaf ears because that paper factory is very big and one of the main revenue source of our town too.
So people's hands are tied about this smell pollution in our town, nobody wants to do anything about it. It is something for most an issue not worth the trouble in solving because it requires money to and since the people are weak and these factories are big and powerful we all might be better off not doing anything.
No one would muster the bravery to stand up for their voices because it just plain hard to make a battle with the goliath. So I am just biting my lips on this issue and maybe relocate soon where there is lesser pollution that will affect my health.
