Dear Steemers,
As you probably already know, commercial deodorants are known to contain harmful chemicals, such as Parabens (linked to breast cancer), aluminum compounds (also linked to breast cancer), Silicia (known carcinogen), Triclosan (kills good and bad bacteria and is a carcinogen), Talc (carcinogen), Propylene Glycol (linked to liver and kidney damage) and others.
You can read more about these chemicals and what their uses are here and here.
Do you really want to put these on your skin every day? I don't think so!
Our skin is our largest organ, and everything you put on your skin will be absorbed by your body. Some of these chemicals seriously mess with your hormones, and their harmful effect should be taken very seriously.
Here's an easy recipe for a 100% natural deodorant which won't abandon you throughout the day.
Trust me, even after a hard #BJJ session it doesn't abandon me. plus I live in the tropics, and we sweat a LOT here =).
If you prefer a more dense deodorant paste, simply add more corn starch to the mix. If you live in a colder climate, the coconut oil will solidify and you don't have to add anything. For people like me where the coconut oil remains in its liquid state, you may have to thicken it if you want to use it in a deo stick.
Try it and let me know how it goes!
