Sweet Jaggery :
We are enjoying winter season with lots of shivering and shaking hands, instead of this natural effects i am remembering my childhood when i used to eat Jaggery (गुड़) in winter season at least 3 times a day just after food or along with food.

I can clearly recall that moment when i used to buy Jaggery from shop and give raw Paddy ( धान ) to shopkeeper instead of cash. 100 gms Jaggery in 100 gms paddy. At least 250 gms Jaggery i used to eat per day anyhow.
Why Jaggery was must for me ( Actually it is too )?
That time it was a fixed rule that every children will eat at least 100 gms of Jaggery everyday till winter end. The rule maker was our Grandfather. He always used to say that the Jggery keeps inside body warm and helps to fight with cold. Along with warm ness it is also beneficial in digestion. There was a extra points in the rule book which stopped to take Raw Jaggery and it was applicable only for children who already affected with cold and coughs. These children take Jaggery mixing in hot milk. There are lots of benefits of Jaggery for human body as well as for animals also.

How the Jaggery get ready ?
This is a solid form of Sugarcane Juice and process is little tough. In my childhood i have seen the process how they were making Jaggery.
- First they store all cane juice in a big and deep pot then drawn some juice and boild it until and unless becomes solid. It is very easy to write the process but the actual scene i have seen, seriously it was too tough. First they brings out all juice from cane then boiled it. 30 to 50 litters of juice takes at least 6 to 7 hrs to form the Jaggery Shapes.
