You don't burn because the sun is dangerous- no need for blocking it with chemical cocktail lotions.
The skin burns when it's too dry. That's when it isn't absorbing the sun's rays as it should, causing it to burn.
We're light beings, we're supposed to soak up our vitamin D through the sun. Throw away the aluminum filled sunblock, and soak up some coconut oil.
Just like with cooking, coconut oil absorbs and regulates heat, but doesn't burn your food, or in this case, your skin.
Coconut oil is a heat regulator, which allows your skin to progressively produce pigment, and absorb the sun's rays to produce more melanin. You burn when the skin it goes into protection mode.
"But what about skin cancer?"
Skin cancer is caused by sunblock. Your skin cells are like tiny solar panels. Imagine what would happen to a solar panel if you poured a paste-like chemical mixture on it.. It would calcify, crust, and burn when the sun hits it.
Ironically, this is the skin "cancer" most fear.. while creating it.
Given, everyone has different limitations, listen to your body. If you've been in the sun too long, rest in the shade & hydrate. No need for AC shocking the lungs with cold air. It forcing the body to drastically swing from hot to cold. Instead, balance with some cool shade and hydrating fruits like a watermelon, then go back to catching those golden rays.
Enjoy life. The sun being a big part of it. Don't make it complicated with make-belief "dangers" and "needs".. Allow the sun's kisses to wash over you.
