Sage is an ancient herb known to promote health and has a phenomenal track record which consists of many healing properties.
Sage contains some of the most antioxidants amongst its class and is strongly known for it's profound protection against several of the plaguing degenerative diseases we hear about on a daily basis. it is protective against Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, macular, heart disease, IBS, osteoporosis, prostatitis, cancer, diabetes and arthritis to name a few.
The reason for sage's potency is due to it's high content of rosmarinic acid, known to be a highly anti-inflammatory compound. Rosmarinic acid is used to reduce swelling and inflammatory conditions. This compound is greatly beneficial for rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, bursitis, atherosclerosis and fibromyalgia to name a few.
Sage is also known to be anti-microbial/bacterial in nature, which is great for remedying any fungal/viral or bacterial nuisances.
Sage is extremely beneficial when it comes to healing acidity and aiding digestion (fennel seed is another great one for this), especially when it comes to fatty foods.
