I admit, there are days where I could easily binge watch Game of Thrones or Netflix for hours. Next thing I know, I’ve done nothing productive and I still have errands and chores to do. Today’s blog is about leading a healthier lifestyle by being active. Not only will you be healthier, but you will get much more out of life!
Here are a couple ideas on how you can lead a more active life.
Change it up
If you are itching to turn on the TV and just hang out, try switching things up. Instead of watching TV, maybe you go to the gym and workout while playing an audiobook or podcast. You will still get the entertainment you crave while also living an active lifestyle.
Go outside
There is nothing like sunshine and being outside to get you going. I know it’s tempting to just lounge around on the couch, but don’t do it! You will never get out of the black hole aka your couch if you do. Going outside will allow you to soak up some Vitamin D and it will also increase your endorphins.
Call a friend up
Sometimes I want an accomplice to get in trouble with. Life is just more fun with friends. Meet your friend up and go hang out! Good company can go a long way.
Find a hobby
Having a hobby will prevent you from being a lazy couch potato. Try dance, painting, pottery class, Spanish class, etc and commit to it. Setting out time to do the things you love will not only help you improve on a skill, but it will bring you joy and happiness.
