That's great that you've gotten yourself to the gym, I found this post really inspiring, I've been getting into exercise over the last few weeks, mainly since the New Year, I'd like to get myself fit and shed a couple of pounds. I have a bit of a stomach, which I'd like to lose, while also toning up a bit and building some more muscle.
I think I need to start the gym, to be honest, but I've never gone regularly. I've gone a handful of times sporadically, I do like swimming though. I think what I need to do is choose a day during the week to go swimming for an hour, then one day on the weekend, maybe Sunday. Then what I could do is start going to the gym on one of the days I go swimming.
I find swimming great as it works out every muscle in the body and I've never really looked at it as "exercise." I see it as more fun than anything, I think even swimming coupled with my own exercise at home would be a great start. And to answer your question of who I'd get healthy for, to be honest, my partner, I think she deserves to be someone who isn't in the process of letting themselves go, also, she's pregnant with our first child, so I've been thinking that I would like to be healthier for him too, lastly, it would be for myself, because I've been kind of feeling a lack of confidence lately. Lockdown kind of did a number on me.. well, I allowed it to, and while I've gotten myself to an okay-ish weight since then, mainly due to watching what I eat, I want to push myself a bit harder.
Keep up the good work! Thanks for the post and the dose of inspiration man, I'm going to let this give me a bit of a kick up the hole, to get my arse in gear. I gotta quit slacking.
