I try to stay away from the doctors as much as I can not because I believe them all to be a bunch of crooks… many are probably decent people, but they work for the system and they have to play by the rules.
In my country, people try to go to private clinics if they can afford it, as state-run hospitals sometimes lack vital equipment and the conditions are …poor. Yet, the minute you walk into a private clinic you know they’re going to push unnecessary expensive tests on you and prescribe expensive pills. Even if they’re unable to give you a diagnostic…

Fun fact: When my kids were small and we went to see their doctor (a very nice lady otherwise) the waiting room was always full of mothers and wailing babies. Yet, everybody had to wait patiently whenever a guy in a suit would barge straight into the doctor’s office. Took me a while to realize those were representatives from drug companies…. no wonder the doctor always prescribed us the newest most expensive drugs on the market.
