What you see above is a clove. It has high medicinal value. A clove can help reduce tooth swelling and also relieve tooth pain. Just chew a bit and keep it on the affected gum area and the area will soon become numb and there will be relief from extreme toothache. Using clove oil is more effective though. When placed on the gum, a drop, on a bit of cotton can give instant relief. Drinking water boiled with a clove is also good for the health but please do not overdo it as it can be a bit too hot. You can add powdered cloves to cakes or biscuit dough and of course masala chai.
Raw jackfruit - These have now become popular as a diabetic-friendly food. The fruit is cut before it becomes ripe and the pieces are separated from the sticky outer skin and then sliced. It is then dried and powdered and added to food or processed to make drinks for diabetic patients as it does not spike blood sugar levels and hence can be consumed without any side effects.
