Whenever the rainy season comes, the plague in Madagascar occasionally breaks out. Thus, 24 people are said to have died of this disease already this year. The plague that can already be transmitted by a flea is very dangerous and always affects the poorest of the poor.
The only thing that helps is isolation. Thus, the government has banned large people meetings. A vaccination is not known. Increased hygiene would be the solution, but it is not so easy to implement in Madagascar.
