woke up early at three different times today, a day off, sundays are certainly a chill day compared to other days of the week. i’m thankful for it mind it’s a day for reset but also to work on my own projects in my own time. I could have gotten up at usual early times but you know that little lay in for a few hours is always welcomed.
as i’ve got older i’ve noticed that the body maintenance you have to do compared to what happens in your 20/30’s (like you don’t even really think about it) is paramount to the biggest wake up call you can have i think. It’s not like a slowly and steady thing either.
it’s literally one minute you’ll be picking something up and realise that your back and legs are grumpy and you now make a noise like never before. older age and that progressive need to exercise be aligned to your work rate, it’s like an additional tick box you gotta do, i kinda wish i had started in my 20’s (or teens) like my daughter how literally trains multiple times a week.

maybe i see it all as this big block of energy that you get to entertain in the day, similar to the way that i try and pack my work time into two hour sprints. i try to not lock up my work time with this crazy notion of success. i’m never chasing success (maybe i should) if i had to define success it would getting the most out of the time that i’m given.
i used to barter away my weekends in pursuit of so called “enjoyment” at the illegal raves, some random cave somewhere, throwing generator money to some crusty at the entrance, escaping the 7-3 or the 2-10 shift of the week, flipping randomly just to let you know that your normal life outside of work had no purpose — it felt like some random hamster wheel that you could not get off.
i really wish i had become aware of self governance early on in life, to be staked into the platform that i used on the daily, to understand inflation better. To not assume that money would just come flowing in throughout my life, that outside events would influence all those things, to see how hyper fragile distribution systems are during the pandemic — unprecedented.
whenever my health feels a little rough these days everything has to go on hold, anything that i’m trying to achieve stops and i focus on getting better — food, water, exercise become the prime directives, circling around negative thoughts about my current success levels just cloud everything, health is wealth they say and i agree with it wholeheartly. without it, you can’t function and make money anyway.
of course in these situations having residual income helps because no matter my mental health or physical health state i know that certain things can be covered — the more i’ve had residuals the better i’m able to adapt to the health side of things.
Imagine if we all had a robot working for us in the night helping to feed our day to day meat-sack when we woke up, what if our involvement in certain online communities was all incentivised for being there, our real world life skills legacy transferrable digitally to other people to enhance their daily human needs.
maybe we will have medical tokens that are earned as NFT’s that can be stacked or hodl’d over a longer period, the additional of tracking and the immutable blockchain ledger giving us a less silo’d approach, open, people willing to barter other tokens in your portfolio for the things you need.
success therefore today will be how many sprints i can get in, with outputs that help that virtual life assist my meat sack life, the more digital downloads i have up on etsy, another passive income stream, the more digital packs i can put up on gumroad, the subscriber tiers on ko-fi that give people value in weekly/monthly assets - it all adds up, before you know it, you don’t need that day to day job as your digital robot is providing resources that helps your meat sack transition through life.
it’s inevitable tbh anyway the more we become augmented and want our lives to become faster and faster.
