Cold showers huh ?
I bet the first thing you thought was "no way am I ever going to take cold showers" right ? Well, of course, that is if you're not taking cold showers already. Cold showers definitely suck... They are not as relaxing and calming as warm and hot showers.
But it's know for a long time that cold showers have tons and tons of benefits:
Helps weight loss
Increased Testosterone
Reduced stress
Improved skin & hair
Relieve depression
Better Immunity
Faster muscle recovery
Improved circulation
So, what is the biggest benefit ?
The biggest benefit of cold showers might surprise you. Why, you ask ? Because it's not even related to health. The biggest benefit of cold shower is the ability to consistantly leave your comfort zone.
Just think about your comfort zone. Watching tv, using your computer, walking, driving a bike. All these things are inside your comfort zone because you think it's easy, you've done it all your life, you're confident about it.
Now think about times when you're out of your comfort zone. You start doubting yourself, you sweat, you're afraid and you feel like losing control. Anyone who gets out of their comfort zone feels this way, becaue they are not sure if they can succeed at the thing they are doing.
But this is normal, just like I said it happens to everybody. But what happens when you start leaving your comfort zone ? Every fear and task you overcome, every challange you take on, you grow as a person. You become wiser, more confident and all these fears now disappear and become your comfort zone.
Leaving your comfort zone is the road to success !
Every successful person we see and hear about, all of them ventured deep outside their comfort zone all the time. Because that is what makes you successful - leaving your comfort zone.
Cold showers are the essence of leaving your comfort zone. Cold - is what our bodies naturally fear and it takes a long time to get used to it. Every time you step into your shower and you look at the knob you immediately start feeling fear as to what might happen if cold water started to rain down on you. Your mind starts to make excuses that you shouldn't be doing this, what's the point, I hate cold things, and so on.
This implies to everything. For example, the idea of talking to a complete stranger, or picking up a new hobby, changing your lifestyle. See, when you're taking cold showers you're pushing yourself, you're going trough your fears and this trains you to leave your comfort zone.
Start taking action
When you get into the shower you can start with hot water. After a few minutes start turning it colder and when it's the coldest try staying there for like 3 minutes. As you do this more and more try aiming at 10 minutes per day in cold water. I know it's really hard to start doing this but try beating your own mind. Do not allow it to make excuses.
By sitting in your comfort zone you're missing out on life. It all starts with you taking your first steps. Do you want to be the best version of yourself ? Take a cold shower and leave your comfort zone :)
