Vegans are constantly selling this idea that human beings will always convert beta carotene in vegetables into Vitamin A.
Don't buy into this myth!
From plants we cannot get sufficient vitamin A. What we get are carotenoids, such as beta carotene which are not actually vitamin A and a lot of people cannot make the conversion and even if they could it's still not enough, which are not bioavailable or much utilized by the body.
What we need is retinoids in animal products that are bioavailable and utilized by our body and a sufficient source of vitamin A.

The toxic synthetic vitamin A supplements are not good for us and the body doesn't know how to utilize them. Plain and simple - we need animal products for sufficient Vitamin A.
Vitamin A is important for normal vision, the immune system, and reproduction.
Liver is LOADED with Vitamin A. You cannot make thyroid hormones without Vitamin A.
In many cultures liver is known as a sacred and important for pregnant women.
