Britain saw the birth of a girl with a heart outside her thorax, and the doctors performed three surgeries to return her heart to its place.
The doctors had announced before the surgery that the probability of survival of the baby was only 10 percent. But the girl survived miraculously despite all the predictions. Doctors discovered the genetic bug in the ninth week of pregnancy and advised abortion, saying that 90 percent of children with heart disease give birth or die in the early days of life. But the parents refused the abortion and asked the doctors for surgery for their child. The baby became the first survivor to survive a heart attack of this kind.
