After a few days away, it's good to come back with a fresh outlook. commented a couple posts ago that I should make some GIFs of the twins, so I hope these start your week with a smile!

Girls on the move
Ever since she figured out how to get where she wanted, Squirt has been on the move.
She is a determined little girl. She crawled from our living room to our dining room just because she wanted to be close to Matt.
It's harder for Squish to keep up. She ends up "roaming" around, but she isn't always sure how she got there or how to get where she wants to go.
Girl talk
As the twins become more mobile, they're also becoming more talkative. Not understandable, but trying to communicate a lot more.
If they have a messy diaper, they'll usually let me know by sticking out their tongue and "spitting." They also make it pretty clear if they need something.
... I just have to guess what it is.
Of course, they understand each other really well!
It's really interesting to raise two kids who are the same age at the same time. On the one hand, they get a playmate right away. Training can also start young since they need to learn to get along with each other.
On the other hand, I could easily see how they'd feel like nothing belongs to them.
Training
For bigger toys, we're teaching the girls how to share. But because we don't want to teach them that sharing is compulsory, they're allowed to play alone with smaller toys. We want them to learn how to care for their own things. That just means that one twin is simultaneously learning not to steal.
Just for the record...
As an older sister, I know that this GIF may be used as evidence that Squish "always" kept toys from Squirt, so I'm setting the record straight ;) Squirt is so fast, she can usually take a toy from Squish before Squish even knows what happened. It takes close watching to see who actually had the toy first...
Just after the incident captured above, Squish moved the toy closer to Squirt and they were playing together again.
These girls steal more of my heart every day! (If that's possible!)
Thanks, everyone for your understanding and kind words during my break! It's good to be back and I'm looking forward to a new week!
