Matthew 13:23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
The word of God is a seed sown into our hearts for the purpose of an all-round transformation.
The transformation here is the fruits we bear as evidence that we have the word in us, which is Christ in us the hope of glory.
In order for the Word to bear fruits, our hearts must be good ground. This means a heart that is submissive, willing and obedience to the ways of Christ as taught in the Word of truth.
This is a heart that seeks to understand through consistent meditation on the revelatory knowledge embedded in the scripture.
The question is : How good is our hearts? For the seed is good and the sower is not accountable for what happens after sowing.
Is your heart ready to bear the abundant fruits? Take some time to meditate on this today.
At the end, nothing else will really matter, except the fruits that we bear, which will propel us into eternity with Christ.
Let's pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for sowing your word in our hearts. With willing hearts we cry for more Oh Lord. Please help us to bear fruits in abundance, in Jesus name. Amen.
