The slave, regardless of their disposition to their master, is inherently supporting the masters desires and is as responsible for the misanthropy and suffering as the ones who instigated it.
The slave is discovering the truth, at the whim of the master, the slave is the one who is showing that truth to their master. So is responsible for endorsing these actions considering both master and slave are human beings.
The slaves willfulness to experience fear, dread, absolute death of the self, and is presenting the master with his desires. Because the slave thinks like a slave, the cycle is that of one of abuse and all parties need to inherently acknowledge their contributions to this situation.

Without the empathetic reaction from the slave, who would encourage or enable the masters addiction to the lust for power?

Would you suggest the master would not be motivated by the achieving his goals via the slaves commitment to the relationship?
